Austin-born running accessory brand returns as Official Running Belt of the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon

The Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K is proud to announce the continuation of its partnership with SPIbelt, which returns as the Official Running Belt of the 2027 event. The renewed partnership marks a special milestone as SPIbelt celebrates its 20th anniversary alongside runners in its hometown of Austin, Texas, on February 14, 2027.

Founded in Austin in 2007, SPIbelt has become a trusted name in running accessories, known for its innovative, expandable running belts designed to securely carry essentials without bouncing or shifting. What began as a simple solution for carrying personal belongings during physical activity has grown into a brand embraced by runners and active individuals around the world.

As the Official Running Belt of the Austin Marathon, SPIbelt continues its commitment to supporting the running community and helping athletes stay comfortable, prepared, and focused on their goals.

“SPIbelt has been a valued partner of the Austin Marathon, and we’re excited to continue building on that relationship as they celebrate 20 years,” said Magan Frausto, Partnership Manager of the Austin Marathon. “There’s something special about celebrating an Austin-born brand at an event that brings runners from across the country and around the world to our city. SPIbelt understands the needs of runners, and we’re proud to have them alongside us as we prepare for another unforgettable Austin Marathon.”

The 2027 event provides a fitting backdrop for SPIbelt’s anniversary celebration, bringing together runners of all experience levels for a weekend centered on movement, community, and achievement. The partnership reflects both organizations’ dedication to creating positive experiences for runners, from their first training miles to the finish line.

“Celebrating 20 years of SPIbelt in the city where it all began makes our continued partnership with the Austin Marathon especially meaningful,” said Kim Overton, Founder & CEO of SPIbelt. “For two decades, our mission has been to make movement easier by creating products that help people carry what they need without slowing them down. We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with the Austin running community and support the thousands of athletes who will take on the streets of Austin in February.”

The Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K will take place on Sunday, February 14, 2027, welcoming participants to experience the energy of Austin through its scenic courses, live entertainment, and enthusiastic community support. Leading up to the event, SPIbelt will be on-site at the Health & Fitness Expo Presented by PNC Bank, taking place February 12–13, 2027, at the Palmer Events Center. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with the SPIbelt team and explore their innovative running accessories.
