The Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K presented by Under Armour will fill Austin’s streets with more than 20,000 runners on Feb 16, 2020.

Being a part of the Austin Marathon guarantees a great time and some amazing perks. Registration will be available online until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15th. All packets must be picked up in person by the participant before packet pick up closes at 5:00 p.m.

Read Before Registering

• Combo Deal – At time of check out you will have the option to add the 3M Half Marathon presented by Under Armour for an additional $10 OFF! This offer is only available at the time of checkout.

• The race organizers strongly discourage anyone under the age of 16 from participating in this event but it is ultimately up to the parent/guardian.

• Each participant must pick up their own packet at the Health & Fitness Expo. Another person may not pick up your packet for you.

The following are prohibited from the course: pets, baby joggers/strollers, in-line skates, bicycles, and any other non-official wheeled vehicles.

• If you would like to race for a charity and fundraise for them, visit the Austin Gives Miles program page for details.

• All official finishers of the Austin Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K will receive a finisher’s medal.

• iPods and other music players are permitted on the course. However, for your safety and others’, please be aware of your surroundings.

• Minimum age requirements: Full marathon – 16; Half marathon – 14; 5K – 2; Manzano mile (timed) – 14; Manzano mile kids run – 0 – 9.

What if I Register and Can’t Race?

Can’t Make it to the run? Don’t worry – we make it easy to Roll Your Reg! You can transfer your registration to another person in the current year or for yourself to next year – for any reason. Looking for just a refund, we have an option that too.

Refunds
  • 50% refunds are available until September 9, 2019. No refunds will be available after that date.
  • In most cases, refunds will be issued to the credit card used during registration and will take up to 10 days to appear on your credit card statement. Transaction fees cannot be refunded.
Transfers – Transfer your registration to another participant for 2020
  • All transfers must be approved through High Five Events. Cannot be transferred if an event is sold out.
  • Before November 18 transfers are $10 (5K), $25 (Half) and $45 (Full).
  • November 19 through January 31 transfers and deferrals are  $15 (5K), $40 (Half ) and $60 (Full)
  • Once a transfer has been submitted it cannot be reversed. There are no refunds issued. Transaction fees cannot be refunded.
  • Person to Person transfers are closed after January 31.
Transfers – Change your distance
  • All transfers must be approved through High Five Events. Cannot be transferred if an event is sold out.
  • Before November 18 distance transfers are $25 (Full to Half or 5K)( Half to 5K) and $25 + Price difference at the current rate (Half or 5K to Full)
  • November 19 through January 31 distance transfers are $40 (Full to Half or 5K) and $40 + Price difference at the current rate (Half or 5K to Full)
  • Online Personal Distance close on February 7. After February 7th, you will have to transfer distances in person at the expo. Transfers must be completed before you pick up your packet. Distance transfers cannot be processed once a bib has been picked up.
  • By transferring distances you will receive the shirt, bib, and any other items associated with your new distance not your old registration.
  • Once a distance transfer has been submitted it cannot be reversed. Transaction fees cannot be refunded.
Deferral- Defer your registration to next year
  • All deferrals must be approved through High Five Events.
  • Before November 18 deferrals are $25 (Half) and $45 (Full).
  • November 19 through February 7 deferrals are $40 (Half) and $60 (Full).
  • Not available for 5K or VIP
  • Once a deferral has been submitted it cannot be reversed. Transaction fees cannot be refunded. Deferrals cannot be processed once a bib has been picked up.
Important Notice & How to Submit

For the safety of all participants, athletes may not give or sell their entry to anyone as a part of a non-approved transfer.

Anyone caught attempting to sell or transfer their race entry/bib to another person or participate in using another participant’s race entry/bib as part of a non-approved transfer, will have said race entry/bib revoked, be disqualified, and be removed from the race without refund.

These policies are necessary because almost all of the supplies and services for the event must be purchased well in advance of the actual event date.
