The Ascension Seton Austin Marathon is excited to announce the total amount of money raised for the selected 2023 charities for their Austin Marathon Gives program. Austin Marathon Gives, presented by the Moody Foundation, is the Official Charity Program for the Austin Marathon®.  Each non-profit raised awareness for their mission and recruited runners to fundraise on their behalf while they trained for the Austin Marathon which took place on Feb.19, 2023.

Twenty-six nonprofit organizations were accepted in the 2023 Austin Marathon Gives program. The selected charities are as follows: Dell Children’s Medical Center, Austin Partners in Education, Austin Parks Foundation, Odyssey School, Blue Dog Rescue, Autism Society of Texas, Ghisallo Cycling Initiative, HealthStart Foundation, Austin Achieve Public Schools, Austin Theatre Alliance – Paramount & Stateside Theatres, CureDuchenne, Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas, Livestrong Foundation, Marathon Kids,Inc., Soccer Assist – Los Verdes, Sam’s Adventure Camp, Flatwater Foundation, Gazelle Foundation, Texas 4000, Camp Kesem UT Austin, just keep livin Foundation, American Cancer Society, GenerationSERVE, Back on My Feet, Austin Wildlife Rescue, and People’s Community Clinic.

The participating charities raised a total of $342,234.00. The Moody Foundation generously matched each of the 26 nonprofits fundraising efforts with $10,000 each. It was the Moody Foundation’s 7th year to do such a match. This year’s Charity Chaser, Devon Lévesque, raised a total of $33,351.50, with help from our partners Tito’s and EIGHT who each contributed $4,974 to the Charity Chaser total. All together, the Austin Marathon Gives program raised a total of $635,585.50 to donate to the local community.

The Austin Marathon Gives Program is now accepting applications for 2024. Charities interested in participating can fill out the application here. The program will officially kick off in October.
