Welcome Team Captains!
This is your go to page to get answers to questions you may have about managing a team.

To begin you will need to complete the Team Captain Registration Form. The form will ask you to:
1. Choose your Team Name.
2. Set your Invite Status.
You can choose how to invite others to join your team. There are 3 options.
- Public: Anyone can join your team in the “Select Team” drop list in registration.
- Anyone with the link: ONLY those with a team link can join it.
3. Submit the form
ACCESSING YOUR TEAM CAPTAIN ACCOUNT
- Go to www.eventdog.com and click “Login” on the top menu bar.
- Click “Team Management”
- First-time users will need to follow the steps provided to request a temporary password.
- After you receive the temporary password, input the email address you used to registered and the password to log in.
- Once logged in you will see all of your registrations listed.
- Select your Team Captain registration, then click on the “Manage Team” button.
- Here you can:
- See & edit your team settings before editing is frozen
- Invite team members
- Select a co-captain
- Email your team members
- Adjust your team privacy
- Here you can:
EDIT TEAM NAME
Click the pencil icon after the team name to edit your team name. Everyone who is already registered will be updated to the new name.
SWITCH TEAM CAPTAINS
Although it’s not possible to completely change a team captain, you can choose a team member to be a co-captain of the team dn they will have the same access and abilities as the Captain. Simply click the gold star next to their name. This person can then sign in to their EventDog.com account and help manage the team.
ADJUST TEAM PRIVACY
There are two access settings for teams. You can adjust these settings by clicking the link
below Privacy Settings on your Team Management page. The settings are:
- Public – Anyone can see your team in the Select Team drop list on the registration page.
- Anyone with the Link – Anyone who is forwarded a copy of the invitation link can
register. There is no limit to the number of people who can sign up for your team.
ADDING YOURSELF TO YOUR TEAM
Even though you created the team and are the Team Captain, you will need to join the team once you complete your race registration form.
If the team access is public:

- Upon logging on to EventDog.com, access the event you’re looking for.
- Scroll down the event page and click the pencil next to “Team Name”.
- Select your team name from the dropdown menu.
- Click the “Save” button. You are now on the team!
If the team access is “Anyone with link”:

- Log in to your Team Captain registration and select the blue “Manage Team” button.
- Enter your email to invite yourself to the team.
- Return to your main login screen and at the top, you will see a box with an invitation to join the team.
- Return to your team management screen and you should see that you are now on the team!

Not registered yet? Follow the steps as if you were inviting a team member and register.
INVITING OTHERS TO JOIN YOUR TEAM
If a Public Team – Just inform your friends to select the team name from the drop-down when they register for the event.
If NOT a Public Team – On your EventDog.com Team Captain page, enter a list of comma-separated email addresses in the first box and a quick message in the second box to be sent to those you want to invite. A team link is available if you selected “Anyone with a link” which can be copied to share in your personal email account.
TEAM MEMBER REGISTERED BUT DID NOT USE YOUR INVITE LINK.
Click on your “Manage Team” button and include the email address that they used to register for the race in the space provided, then hit the send button. Now tell them to logon to their EventDog.com account where they will see a pending team invite to accept and join the team.
CONFIRM/REMOVE TEAM MEMBERS
Anyone who has registered to be part of your team is listed on your Manage Team page. Click the red X to remove anyone who is not supposed to be part of your team. This will remove the person from your team, but leave them registered for the event. A notice is sent to everyone removed from a team, and you can send a personal note at the same time, if desired.
- Team members are responsible for paying for their race entry fee, or
- Bulk Pay: The Bulk Pay option is available for approved accounts that anticipate having 10 or more race registrations that will all be paid for by a single entity at least two weeks before race day.

How it Works - The team captain completes this application form.
- Pending approval, the team captain will be issued a registration code or link that they will distribute to team members to use to register for the event.
- The recipients will apply the code to their shopping cart upon registering for the race to discount the race entry fee. Please be advised that High Five Events takes no responsibility for distribution or the incurred cost of the use of the code.
- Any extra items that a team member adds to their shopping cart, such as merchandise or charity donations, must be paid for when they complete their registration. All teams regardless of payment option will be required to follow the event policy regarding transfers or registration changes, see details here.
- All bulk pay codes expire at 11:59 PM on Friday, January 8, 2027. Following the deadline, an invoice will be generated that will include the number of times the code was used multiplied by the corresponding entry fees. It will also include the 8% processing fee + $1.00 per registration regardless of payment method.
- A billing invoice will be sent to the team captain and/ or the billing contact.
- Invoices must be paid on full on or before January 22, 2027.
- Unpaid invoices will result in cancelled registrations and all users of the code will be notified that their registrations have been voided and their race packets discarded.
How Team Packet Pickup Works
Your packet pickup options are dependent on your team’s size.
Option 1: Captain Pick-Up (25+ Members ONLY)
Your team must have 25+ registered members by January 22, 2027 to qualify for this option.
If your team qualifies, the Team Captain will receive an email to opt-in to pick up all race packets, participant shirts, and goody bags for the team captain to distribute to the entire team themselves. (Note: This is not recommended for “Public” teams).
- Important: If your captain chooses this option, you must get your gear from them. You will not be able to get your own packet at the Expo.
- Deadline: Only those registered on the team by the January 22, 2027 deadline will be included in the team captain’s group packet pickup. Those that register and/or join the team after this deadline will have to pick up their packets individually.
- Early Pick-Up Perk: Qualifying captains will receive an email invitation for an exclusive early packet pick-up on the Thursday before the race.
Option 2: Individual Pick-Up (Default for ALL Teams)
If your team has fewer than 25 members, or if your qualifying captain does not opt-in to Captain Pick-Up, everyone is responsible for getting their own gear.
- Each team member must attend the regular packet pickup at the Health & Fitness Expo to get their own packet and participant shirt.
- Important: Team members cannot pick up packets for each other.

- Bulk Pay Code expires for teams that selected this payment method.

- Final day to submit official cheer station application for groups 35+
- Bulk pay final payments due for those that selected this payment method
- Deadline to opt-in to group packet pickup for teams of 25+
- Deadline to join a team and be included in group packet pick-up for teams of 25+ if captain opted in
February 1
- Last day for guaranteed inclusion on Name Wall displayed at Expo & Finish Line.
- Deadline to select a time for early group packet pickup if team opted-in to this option
February 11:
- Advanced packet pick-up for qualifying teams (25+ members) who opted for Team Captain pick-up.
