Austin’s Culinary Scene Shines Bright – Fuel Up Post-Marathon at Michelin’s Newest Gems!

Austin’s culinary scene has always been a runner’s paradise, brimming with flavors perfect for refueling and celebrating after pounding the pavement. In November 2024, the prestigious Michelin Guide recognized some of our local heroes, highlighting the city’s thriving gastronomic excellence. Whether you’re running, spectating, or just exploring Austin’s vibrant food scene, here are the latest Michelin-approved spots ready to complement your Austin Marathon experience.

Did You Know? 2025 is the Year of the Service Industry Appreciation!

Before we get into the list – Austin’s food scene is not only a testament to local talent but also a celebration of the hardworking service industry professionals who bring it all to life. The Michelin recognition is a nod to their efforts and contributions that make every dining experience memorable.
In honor of their dedication, the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Half Marathon, & 5K  has designated 2025 as the Year of the Service Industry! We are offering a 50% discount to service industry workers on their 2025 registration. This initiative is our way of giving back to those who make Austin’s food scene one of the best in the world. If you work in the service industry or know someone who does, check out our program to see how you can get involved and enjoy a well-deserved reward.

3. Hestia
Named after the Greek goddess of the hearth, Hestia warms your soul (and taste buds) with their focus on live-fire cooking. Their menu celebrates the smoky magic of open flames, creating a cozy, hearty meal perfect for marathon recovery.
