RUN AUSTIN® Kickoff Week Unveils Eight Days of Giveaways from Event Partners

$4,000+ in prizes up for grabs September 8–15 as Austin kicks off training season for the 2027 Ascension Seton Austin Marathon and Spurs Austin International Half

 

RUN AUSTIN® Kickoff Week is bringing eight straight days of giveaways to the Austin running community from September 8–15, with more than $4,000 in prizes provided by partners and community brands of the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon and Spurs Austin International Half.

Each day of Kickoff Week will feature a new opportunity to win, giving runners even more reason to get involved as they begin training for the Spurs Austin International Half on January 17, 2027, and the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K on February 14, 2027.

The daily giveaways are part of a full week celebrating Austin’s running community. Along with the prizes, runners can join over 60 free group runs hosted throughout Austin and take part in special community activations during the week.

“Our partners are a huge part of what makes RUN AUSTIN® Kickoff Week so much fun,” said Megan Frausto, Strategic Partnership Manager of the Austin Marathon. “These giveaways give us another way to celebrate the runners who make this community what it is. Every day brings something different, and we’re excited to give people even more reasons to get involved throughout the week.

The following is the 2026 Kickoff Week Giveaway Schedule:

Tuesday, Sep 8th 

  • SPIbelt is kicking off the week by giving away 250 SPIbelts to runners.
  • Crunch Fitness is giving away a 1 Year Peak Results all access membership valid at any Crunch gym in the nation ($600 Value)

Wednesday, Sep 9th

  • Fleet Feet is giving away two pairs of running shoes valued at $150+ each.
  • Choice Made Travel is giving one winner the chance to win their event entry back, along with a Choice Made Travel bag.

Thursday, Sep 10th

  • PNC Bank is giving away two tickets to an upcoming ACL Live show, based on availability, plus two tickets to an ACL Live venue tour and an ACL Live T-shirt and hat combo.
  • Fogo de Chão is giving away three $150 gift cards.

Friday, Sep 11th

  • Ascension Seton is giving away two tickets to see Foster the People at Moody Amphitheater on October 16.
  • Paramount Theatre is giving away two pairs of Paramount Theatre film passes.

Saturday, Sep 12th

  • Meanwhile Brewing is giving away a YETI cooler filled with Meanwhile goodies, plus two $50 gift cards.
  • The San Antonio Spurs are giving away five Spurs jerseys.
  • LSKD is giving away one men’s running kit bundle and one women’s running kit bundle.

Sunday, Sep 13th  

  • NEVERSECOND is giving away four Marathon Race Packs valued at $30+ each.
  • GOOD GOOD is giving away three GOOD GOOD goodie packs valued at $100 each.

Monday, Sep 14th

  • Burlebo is giving away two $250 gift cards.
  • FinisherPix is giving away four FinisherPix photo packages.

Tuesday, Sep 15th

  • Shokz is giving away eight pairs of headphones. 
  • Alter Ego Running is giving away three $100 gift cards.

 

Throughout Kickoff Week, anyone can enter to win the RUN AUSTIN® Kickoff Week Grand Prize, with registered participants receiving an extra entry into the drawing.

The Grand Prize brings together some of the best offerings from RUN AUSTIN® partners, including a $250 Burlebo gift card, Shokz headphones, a NEVERSECOND Marathon Race Pack, SPIbelt, FinisherPix photo package, $150 Fogo de Chão gift card, custom RUN AUSTIN® Zilker Belt, RUN AUSTIN® YETI, San Antonio Spurs jersey, and Sandcastle Seasoning Last Mile. The winner will also receive entries to both the 2027 Spurs Austin International Half and 2027 Ascension Seton Austin Marathon.

RUN AUSTIN® Kickoff Week also features more than 60 free group runs across Austin and surrounding areas, giving runners of all experience levels an opportunity to find a new running group, meet training partners and start working toward their 2027 goals. On Saturday, September 12, runners can also stop by the Lady Bird Lake Trail for free snow cones as part of the week’s community celebrations.
