27 local bands will provide entertainment and showcase The Live Music Capital of the World

The Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k has finalized the lineup for its on-course entertainment for the multi-distance event happening this Sunday, February 19th in Austin, Texas.  The twenty-six local bands and National Anthem solo guitarist join the race-day excitement and perform live music for participants along the courses.

“We’re always proud to welcome the wide-ranging sounds of local musicians,” said Stacy Keese, co-owner of High Five Events.  “The energy of live music on course helps to provide motivation to the runners as they run through the different neighborhoods of Austin.  They help us showcase The Live Music Capital of the World.”

This year the Austin Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k features the following musicians: Woode Wood, Claude 9, Ruthie Craft & The Conundrums, Brian MacLeod, Grupo Massa, The 4411, Jay Clement and The Sharps, Atlas Maior, Everett Wren, Scott Strickland, Marshall Anderson, Austin Takio, San Saba County, Stove Top Rangers,  Kupira Marimba, Inside Out Steel Band, University Baptist Church Choir, Jenifer Jackson & Jon Notarthomas, Shirley Johnson, Austin Thaala, Sammy Foster Bucket Drummers, Scott Collins, Fortune Hearts.  The National Anthem will be performed by solo guitarist, Lucas Taylor.  The Finish Fest will feature two Austin favorites, Delivery Service and Fusion ATX.  Tasman Sharpe and the Ripsnorters play in the VIP Lounge.  To learn more about each band and where they will be located on course, visit the Austin Marathon Website.  The music bookings are provided by Jeff Strange, StrangeTribe Productions.

The Austin Marathon weekend starts with the Health and Fitness expo at Palmer Events Center on February 17 from 1 PM to 7 PM and on Saturday, February 18 from 10 AM to 5 PM.  The expo is free and open to the public.  The Marathon and Half Marathon races start at 7 AM on Sunday, February 19th at 2nd and Congress in Downtown Austin.  The 5k begins at the same location directly after at 7:45 AM.  All three distances finish on Congress Avenue in front of the Capital where participants can enjoy the stacked Finisher Fest. in Blog post

The no added sugar bottled coffee brand brings more positive energy to race weekend

The Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k and Super Coffee have partnered up for the third year in a row.  The Austin based company is the Official Coffee of the Austin Marathon and the presenting sponsor of the FloCast Live Broadcast for race day.  The Austin Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k, owned and produced by High Five Events, takes place on February 19, 2023 in downtown Austin, Texas.

“We’re thrilled to be the official coffee of the Austin Marathon for the third year in a row.  Austin is one of the most active cities in the US and Super Coffee is here to be the go-to fuel for anybody trying to live a more active lifestyle. We’re excited to toe the line on February 19th with over 18,000 runners from all over the world!” – Jimmy DeCicco, Co-Founder

Super Coffee, headquartered in Austin, Texas is the third largest bottled coffee in the US behind Starbucks and Dunkin.  Founded by three health-conscious brothers, Super Coffee’s sugar free formula blends protein with healthy fats and two cups of coffee for a low-calorie energy boost. Two men at Super Coffee booth offering drinks

“We’re pumped to have Super Coffee back again to bring the positive energy,”  said Jack Murray, co-owner of High Five Events.  “We drink it every day in the office, and we want fellow runners who care about their health to try it out, if they haven’t already.”

Super Coffee will be sampling its lineup at the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon Health and Fitness expo at Palmer Events Center in Austin on February 17 from 1 PM to 7 PM and on Saturday, February 18 from 10 AM to 5 PM.  The expo is free and open to the public.  Runners and spectators can try it once again in the Super Coffee tent at the Finish Line Festival on Sunday, February 19 from 9 AM to 2PM.

In addition to sampling, Super Coffee is the Presenting Sponsor of the FloCast Live Broadcast for race day.  Those not attending the race in Austin can catch the live action for free on FloCast.com.  It will be shown on two jumbotrons at the Finish Fest.  Coverage starts at 6 AM and will follow the leaders of the male and female divisions for both the full and half distances.  Participants of the event can re-watch the broadcast at their convenience.

Online registration for the half marathon and 5k is currently available but the 26.2 mile distance has sold out.

About Super Coffees:  Super Coffee was founded in 2015 by Jimmy, Jake, and Jordan DeCicco. As collegiate student-athletes, the DeCicco brothers were tired of drinking unhealthy bottled coffees and energy drinks loaded with sugar and calories. Super Coffee’s sugar free formula blends protein with healthy fats from coconut oil and two cups of coffee in every bottle for a low-calorie energy boost. Based in Austin, TX with over 100 employees nationwide, Super Coffee is the third largest bottled coffee in the US behind Starbucks and Dunkin.
